Our Honeymoon In Orlando
My fiancée and I were having trouble deciding where to go on our honeymoon. We come from the dreary land of London, England, so we definitely wanted a location that could offer some sunshine. That said, lying on the beach for 4 days in a row didn’t sound like our idea of excitement. We wanted a place that offered a lot to do. After much research and thought, we chose Orlando. We weren’t sure if we had made the right decision at first, but looking back on it, it was an exceptional decision. It was the best vacation of our lives, which we are grateful for considering it was our honeymoon.
Prior to our arrival, we wanted to make sure everything was in order. That’s why we searched for cheap car rentals in Orlando before we even booked our flight. We ended up with a great deal, which allowed us to save some money. We ended up using that money for more attractions. Is there any better way for your money to be used? What is life without a little adventure, especially when it’s your honeymoon?
We didn’t waste any time getting to the fun once we arrived in Orlando. Our first stop was Wet N’ Wild. The name describes the attraction so well. I went down a water slide that seemed like it was 100 feet tall. I remember coming around the edge at the top and thinking that I was going to fall off, which would have at least broken a few bones. But it turns out that they just make it look like you will fall off. It’s actually quite safe. After that monstrous waterslide, we went to the wave pool, which was even more interesting. Instead of hanging around in the shallow water, we opted to swim to the deep end. The waves back there are serious. We had fun with them, though. After that, we needed a breather so we headed for the lazy river, which was nice and even a little romantic.
The following day we went to Gatorland. It’s great to get up close and personal with a creature than would love nothing more than to eat your hand for breakfast. These gators were a little on the scary side, which is what makes the experience so exciting. My fiancée has had a fear of gators ever since. Luckily, we don’t have any gators in London – none that I know of anyway.
That afternoon we visited Pirates Cove Adventure Golf. You might think that miniature golf is a family attraction. That might be the case here as well, but I don’t care who you are, you’re going to love it. This is not your ordinary miniature golf course, which should come as no surprise considering it’s in Orlando. Everything here is over the top, which you will appreciate.
That night we went to Cirque de Soleil. It was hands down the greatest show either one of us has ever seen in our lives. Neither of us has ever seen a Broadway show, but it would be hard to imagine how any Broadway show could compare to Cirque de Soleil. I know they offer this show in several cities around the world. If you have an opportunity to see it, you must take advantage of it.
In addition to all the fun attractions above, we also had a chance to visit the outlet stores and the mystery dinner theater. The affordable food, discounted hotels and cheap rental cars all made our trip even more enjoyable. The attractions in Orlando might be expensive, but what most people don’t realize is that you save money on everything else.
