Top Five Rollercoasters in America

Rollercoaster

Rollercoaster

Rollercoasters are an American entertainment that will always be around. They bring joy to people of all ages and give you a rush that you have never experienced. There are hundreds of rollercoasters across America, so deciding the best ones can be a challenging task. You have to take in consideration the height, speed, historical aspect and how enjoyable the rollercoaster is.

Kingda Ka- This rollercoaster is located at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. It is the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in America standing at 456 feet high and racing down at 128 miles per hour. This rollercoaster is not for the faint of heart and will give you the thrill of a lifetime.
Intimidator 305- The rollercoaster is located at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA and is one of only three giga-coasters in the world. It is a complete circuit coaster that reaches 399 feet high. It has you dropping at a 85 degree angle while going 90 miles per hour. It’s sure to get you screaming.
El Torro- It is located at Six Flags Great Adventure and is the tallest running wooden rollercoaster in America. It stands at 181 feet tall and has speeds of 70 miles per hour making it the third fastest.
Top Thrill Dragster- Located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio the rollercoaster has a 400 foot drop at speeds of 120 miles per hour. It is second to only Kinda Ka and is just as thrilling.
The Voyage- Located at Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN, this rollercoaster gives you one of the longest rides you can get. It stands at 173 feet tall and travels 67 miles per hours. However, the wooden rollercoaster has a track of 6442 feet which is almost 1000 feet longer than most rollercoasters, giving you a longer time to enjoy the thrill.

Amusement parks are known for having rollercoasters. Whether they are wooden, steel, fast or tall each of them offer a different thrill level. Getting to experience each of the five best rollercoasters is something that few get to do, but if you get the chance, you should definitely enjoy the thrill, whether over a number of years or as part of cheap holidays touring around the States looking for thrills!
